Blues Travelers set to Play on June 28

It's been a week now since the Mark Chesnutt concert and what an interesting night. We had tornado sirens go off and a thunderstorm come thru before Mark took the stage then to top things off his equipment got wet. Even though we had all this drama, we still pulled off a great accoustic show that lasted till midnight. Everything always works out in the long run.

I am really excited about the Blues Traveler concert on Saturday June 27, 2009. They were a band i listened to in college and looks like this could be our largest crowd ever. You might want to purchase your tickets early by going to http://www.jdlegends.com/buy_tickets.htm .
In addition you can purchase a season pass to all our shows by going to http://www.jdlegendsconcerts.com/ . You will get 30 shows for the price of 4.

The VIP seats look like they are sold out but you might want to check out the club section for another good seat.

Record Weekend Crowds

It was an interesting weekend at JD Legends in Ohio. First we set a record crowd for a non-national act on Friday with 32 Below. The weather was beautiful and made for a great night for music on the patio. If you have not seen this group then you are missing out.

Then our big concert on Saturday with Mark Chesnutt started very nice until the tornado sirens started sounding off. That did not deter anyone from leaving but it delayed the show by an hour and half. In addition some of the equipment got wet and caused Mark to change to an acoustical show. The great enjoyed every minute of it. I will be posting some You Tube videos of the show and an interview with Mark Chesnutt. Overall it was a great weekend that was very interesting and now I am looking forward to one of the most anticipated concerts of the Year, The Blues Travelers Concert. Check out our full schedule at http://www.jdlegends.com/concert_sched.htm .

Make sure to also check our season Platinum pass that will get you 30 concerts for the price of 4. Check it out at www.jdlegendsconcerts.com .

Blues Travler Set to play at JD Legends June 27

This summer is going to be an exciting summer with our 2009 Concerts. We have just added Blues Travler. We orginally had Blues Travler last year but could not get the right routing for them to play at JD Legends on June 27. Allot of people were disappointed that we did not book them last year and were looking forward to having them this year. Tickets are going to be discounted on the first 200 tickets sold so make sure to get your tickets early.

Blues Traveler is an American rock band, formed in Princeton, New Jersey in 1987. The band has been influenced by a variety of genres, including blues-rock, psychedelic rock, folk rock, soul, and Southern rock. They are known for extensive use of segues in their live performances.
Currently, the group comprises singer and harmonica virtuoso John Popper, guitarist Chan Kinchla, drummer Brendan Hill, bassist Tad Kinchla and keyboardist Ben Wilson. Tad Kinchla and Ben Wilson joined the band following the death of original bassist Bobby Sheehan in 1999 of a drug overdose in New Orleans, Louisiana.
While Blues Traveler is best known among fans for their improvisational live shows, the general public is most familiar with the group from their singles "But Anyway", "Run-Around" and "Hook". They gained mainstream radio popularity from their fourth studio album Four, released in 1994.
Sheehan's death and Popper's struggle with obesity put a damper on the group's success, and A&M dropped the band in 2002. However, the band took this transition period as an opportunity to start in new directions musically, going largely independent and releasing on smaller experimental labels.
Recently, Blues Traveler recorded a "best-of" collection of older songs reinterpreted with acoustic instrumentation called Cover Yourself, released October 2007; a new studio album, North Hollywood Shootout, was released on the Verve Forecast label August 26, 2008

Tickets will go on sale soon and make sure to ask about how you can meet Blues Traveler in our V.I.P. section. Check out the youtube video below to listen to their famous song run around.
